I'm back and ready to word vomit...

Soooo, school is starting soon. Most parents are over the moon excited to send their kids to school and get back on a routine. If you homeschool, this means your summer vacation is over too! However, that being said, I'm excited for school to start as well. We need routine for this family of 6 to not lose their sanity completely. Mind you, I said completely. Every mom and dad has lost at least a portion of their sanity. It's a happy time though. ;)

So this school year we are...

Standardized Testing

Posted on October 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Why is it that we expect our kids to walk away feeling confident in their intellegence when we give them a score of average on testing? When I took my SATs, I got an "average" score. I walked away from that feeling normal, like I could never do anything spectacular. Yet here I am killing it!! When we teach our kids that there is a below average, average, and above average....they will never see themselves as anything more than that. That's sad. To me, its down right heart breaking.

All the hate in the world....

Posted on January 31, 2017 at 1:10 PM Comments comments (0)

Can we just stop? Please? We are losing great relationships with family and friends over a difference in opinions! To all those protesting...how about turning that energy to doing something that will really make a difference. Like handing out food and blankets to the homeless and poor. Even volunteering at your local shelters. You can make a difference that way! Standing there with signs saying things like "Trump's not our president" isn't doing anything. I will also add that if you are a cit...

Diapers, Toddlers, and Attitude

Posted on October 19, 2016 at 9:20 PM Comments comments (0)

Let's take a moment and appreciate all the diapers that have passed through this house.....Okay that's enough. 10 years people. That's how long I've been buying and changing diapers. NO MORE!! All 4 kids are doing their thing on the potty. No diapers...that is something that seemed so far away and unreachable. Yet here we are. My littlest is only 2 1/2. Not one of my others were potty trained that soon. I credit potty training both toddles at the same time. Team work is dream work!! I'm still...

How in the world...

We just celebrated a birthday. My 3rd born just turned 4. I can't believe how fast time goes. Everyone tells you that it will go fast, but man, until it happens, you have no idea what they are talking about! In a couple of months my oldest will be 10. I don't feel like I"m even close to old enough to have a kid in the double digits. I always thought you had to be old to have a 10 year old...guess not. :)

On another note, all 4 of my girls are out of diapers!! Hallelujeah!! I...

Sadness Is A Real Thing....

Posted on July 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM Comments comments (0)

The world we live in has turned to violence to solve all their problems. The happenings in Dallas are awful and it doesn't fix anything. All it does is create more hate. More hate for races, police, and any other thing people can find. And what is their answer to it all? Killing innocent people. Are there bad people. Yep. Are all the people like those people all bad? NO! I just can't fathom how these people think. Do they think they are going to kill off an entire group of people? It's just n...

Time is Flying!!

Posted on June 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM Comments comments (0)

How is it almost July!?! This year is flying by. It still surprises me. I'll be turning the big 30 and I'm so excited! Birthday's mean you survived another year! Wahoo! Go me!

My brother and his girlfriend visited recently and it was so great hanging out with him and catching up! Playing video games until the wee hours of morning. Go karts. Campfires. Laughs. Such a great time!

Then there was that time that I finally got my dad to believe in these oils I rave about. Sitting ...

Amazing Times Coming...

So here we are so close to spring I can smell it! I love the days we get to escape to the backyard and play. Fresh air, grass stains, and dirt. My favorite. Best thing is I have a secret weapon for the stains and the bugs. Yleo Bug Spray, Bug Bite Zapper and Thieves Household Cleaner to treat those stains. All non-toxic and safe for everyone. Does that mean my kids don't eat McDonald's? Hardly. I'm still human. But the places I can easily got the toxins out of our lives, I will.

Adulting is Hard...

Posted on April 13, 2016 at 1:15 PM Comments comments (0)

If we are being honest being an adult is not all we thought it would be. We thought freedom and late night's would come our way. Well....wasn't I surprised when my freedoms were not as awesome as they seemed....and late nights mean kids are still awake. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but let's face it...hurry up and grow up...not the right thinking.

I have 4 kids....they can be difficult. But then again, so can I. So I've struggled to find that understanding they deserve as kid...

Another Aha moment!!

Don't you love when something finally works and it's like AHA! I got this?

I had a new one with my oils.

I have trouble getting motivated..who doesn't? I had a closet to clean...aren't they the worst!!

So I diffused Motivation Essential Oil and Peppermint Essential Oil and no joke had that closet cleaned in under an hour. Did I mention it was my bathroom closet......

I love these things...they have seriously changed the way I look at things.
